Hello, My name is David Jefferson and I am fundraising to support the family of Yvonne Ayon. For those of you who know Yvonne, you know she was a fighter. Yvonne spent the the past several years fighting on behalf of those who needed someone to fight for them. In the behavioral health system, she supported family who were desperately seeking support for their children and adults who were seeking recovery and / or healing from behavioral health difficulties. Yvonne also devoted time to helping families with DCS involvement, youth in the foster care system and young adults that were incarcerated. For the past few years Yvonne fought Cancer, and she continued to punch, all the way to the end. Yvonne lost her fight and passed away on Friday January 20, 2023.

Yvonne was my friend, and was an inspiration to me in my advocacy work. She taught me that you are not defined by your past, your mistakes, or your circumstances. You are defined by the things you do the help others and how you step up when other will not.

Yvonne leaves behind a family in morning who is celebrating her life, but needs support with burial and other expenses related to her passing. I have never organized a go fund me campaign, but the need is great and I am hoping we can pull together as a community to support the family of this amazing woman. Yvonne made a difference in my life and the life of countless others. Please help me make a difference for her family in their time of need.
