Hi, I am alie, daughter of Bryan. On December 16th 2022, after a very brief illness, my father passed away.
if anyone knew my father they knew he lived his life to the fullest and loved nothing more than filling it with great friends, good food, a love of excellent wine, and live music. So I would like to celebrate him in the same way he lived.
I have reached out about hosting a celebration of life next month in his honor, and quite a few people asked if I could make a go fund me so they could help out in anyway. I am forever touched by seeing how many lives my father touched, and how many people care about him. He was a jovial spirit that would not long be forgotten.
I am still in the planning process but am hoping to have a large celebration of life in Washington DC in February. There will also be a memorial service back in Niagara Falls, NY in the spring when the weather becomes more fit for travel.
honestly I didn’t expect to make a go fund me, but a lot of people requested a platform to help if they can’t make it up for either memorial. I am still in awe of the outreach and it’s like forever having a little bit of my father with me in all his friends. As I am still in the beginning planning stages I don’t quite know yet what the full cost will be. But anything extra will go in an account for planning my trip to Greece next year to spread his ashes. My father fell in love with the beautiful country of Greece, and eventually wanted to retire there. I plan to go and visit his favorite sights and vineyards and see the country the way he saw it. Then finally lay him to rest where he wanted to spend the rest of his life.
thank you all so much for the outreach. I hope you all continue to celebrate my father the he celebrated his life. With love and kindness, and to remember that a phone call can always make someone day, and laughter and friendship can heal most wounds.
