BEAT CANCER DON'T LET CANCER BEAT YOU
Yvette is a three-time cancer survivor (breast, Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and ovarian). In late October she found a suspicious lump in her abdominal area. She contacted her trusted oncologist immediately. Following ample tests, she was told November 2nd, that the cancer is back. At this point, she has internal bleeding and the cancer is known to be encapsulated. They are going to perform surgery to remove her remaining ovary, fallopian tube and one lymph node and a suspicious lump on her liver. Her physician believes the surgery will be a success giving her a fighting chance. We are fighting time because she needs the surgery now.
Yvette’s surgery is scheduled for November 9th. The health insurance informed her that her coverage does not cover all medical costs. Her physician highly recommends she be in the hospital for 3 to 5 days following surgery. She needs the surgery now and will not be able to work following her surgery, as she will need time to recover and possibly go through chemo therapy again.
It has been a struggle being a single mother of 2 children with one a special needs child. Her children are everything to her (ages 12 and 14) and they need their mother. It’s time to beat cancer, not let cancer beat her. As Yvette’s good friend for 45 years, I know her to be kind, compassionate, loving and unconditional with her ways of giving to her children. She has been a contributing member of her community donating her time and money to the local churches, schools and animal shelters.
I am asking for financial help for her medical costs. If there is any help that you can give I know that Yvette would greatly appreciate it, as do I and her two children.
