My mom, mama, mother, MY BEST FRIEND, she has been my source of all good things. She's taught me right from wrong, how to love, how to forgive; she's just everything to me and my brother DJ. She loves without judgment or boundaries! And now I'm watching this amazing woman who has pretty much raised me and my brother suffer. Here's her story...

My mom, Yvette, was pretty much a woman who would give her last to help. She'd be whatever was needed to ensure that everyone else was happy! She worked as hard as she loved. But in January 2023, her life changed when she started feeling weak, fatigued, and just plain out of it. She wasn't herself, yet she kept smiling and working... until it got to be too much. She couldn't function, so she made an appointment with her PCP, who told her to immediately go to the ER. Her tests in the office showed she had a stroke. She went to the ER on February 2nd, and from there, her life has changed dramatically. The fun-loving, large-hearted, and amazing woman who once loved being the life of the party wasn't. My mom has almost left me (died) twice. I was there both times (Thank God)! I have watched her go through repeated tests, each time taking a little of her shine. I watched her cry at the Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis, not knowing what was to come. With her weakness becoming more evident, she was not able to return to work, and I also saw something that I've never seen in her before... FEAR. My mom, my rock, was unsure of the next steps.

Multiple doctors, tests, and diagnoses are trying to remove the woman who showed unconditional love and positive vibes to everyone she's ever met. She was let go from her job, which just wanted A.I.S., and she's barely able to get out of bed most days. But she's still trying with God's grace.

Without insurance or government assistance, I'm asking for help so mom can get her treatment before it gets too bad. Please, whatever help you can give so I can get my mom, my ride or die, back functional and mostly stronger!
