This fundraiser is to help defer medical costs and replace salary lost while Yvette is unable to work in her position as a Registered Nurse.

On November 23, 2021 she returned home after her nursing shift barely able to walk and unable to lift her arms. A trip to the ER and evaluation by a neurologist recommended surgery on her neck. After the neck operation Yvette has been at Holmes Regional and Kindred Hospitals in and out of a coma, on a ventilator and unable to communicate for eight weeks. She is currently on the road to recovery just starting in hospital rehabilitation. Several more weeks of hospitalization is expected, followed by at home rehab.

At this time it is unknown if she will ever be able to return to her job. She is 55 years old. Yvette has no short or long term disability insurance and no income coming in and like us all has bills to pay. She has limited assets to carry her for just a few months.
