Hi, my name is Jake Mandel and I am a freshman in High School. I love writing and watching/talking about basketball but most of all, I love my mom and she's been struggling lately. 

In 2016 she got diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma (a rare form of kidney cancer). She had to undergo surgery to remove the tumor. Ever since then my mom has been in and out of the hospital fighting infections. 

A little bit about my mom. She's a single mother who has raised me with great morals and values. Even through her hospitalization she's made it a point to be a part of my life. 

The reason I am starting this GoFundMe page is my way of helping her out. Because she is hospitalized so often she is unable to work consistently and it has been tough on her. 

Any and all donations are appreciated. I don't know how far this will get but I just want to help my mom out as much as possible.
