First and foremost I want to take the time to thank you for visiting my page and reading my story!
My name is Charlotte Craig and I am a 2008 Olympian and a world medalist in the sport of taekwondo. Ever since I was a little girl my dream was to be an Olympic champion. I have faced and overcame many challenges trying to reach my dream. When I was a little toddler I had my left kidney removed and the doctors told my parents she can live a healthy life just no contact sports! Obviously I did not follow the doctors advice so well. I fell in love with taekwondo and wanted to be the best at it from a early age. I am the top female fly weight in the United States and one of the best female fly weight athletes in the world today. In the 2008 Olympics I fell short by one point in the quarterfinal match against Venezuela. I remember that fight like it was yesterday and I was so close to bringing home a medal for the USA. In 2012 my weight class was not selected to go to the Olympics. Now 2016 is right around the corner and another chance to make my Olympic dream come true!
Taekwondo is my love and passion in life! I moved away from my family and friends to train many hours a day, six days a week to be the best in the world. The biggest challenge I am facing right now is traveling and competing in the necessary tournaments to qualify for the Olympics. I have three Grand Prixs this year that I must attend to reach my dream and unfortunately I have to burden all the expenses to get there. I would be so grateful and thankful to anyone who could help me with monetary donations of any amount, which would go directly toward the expenses of these tournament trips and helping me make my dream come true by qualifying and competing in the 2016 Olympic Games for the USA!!!
