Paul Henson

The Charleston soccer community is deeply saddened to learn we have lost one of our boys. Paul Henson was one of the "good guys" - a family man, strong competitor, devoted coach, loyal friend and lifelong lover of the beautiful game. He was "dastardly to defend" when he played. A true man of faith who lived his beliefs without wearing them on his sleeve.

Last night while doing what he loved, Paul Henson passed away from a heart attack. He was coaching girls on the field. He was temporarily revived, but didn’t make it to the hospital in time. Paul was 59. He leaves a wife and two children.

We will pray for his family during this difficult time. We are "passing around the hat" to help the family with his final expenses and to help them get on their feet after this devastating loss. Please join us in making this transition a little easier for a lovely family. It's what we do for our mates.
