Support for Kwame

Many of you already know that our beloved friend and Bowie crossing guard, Kwame, suffered a stroke this week and is in the hospital. Unfortunately it will most likely be a little while before he is back with us. Kwame is a spot of joy in our mornings- not only getting us and our kids to school safely but remembering names, giving high fives and joking with us as he does it. He truly is a gift to our school and we want him to know how missed he is! We would love to be able to support him and his family during this difficult time. Kwame wanted to share this message with the parents and kids:

"On Monday night I felt like I had a stroke, so we went to the hospital and confirmed it was a bad stroke. I miss all the kids and the parents as well. Thank you for your concern and prayers. I love you all. Explain to your kids what happened and tell them that I miss them the most."
