Let me introduce you to Ashley Power…
She is the new Spanish Instructor for the Spanish Language Training Program at the ICE Academy in Brunswick, GA. She was born and raised in Greensboro, GA. During her educational career she became fascinated with the Spanish language and pursuing her goal she graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in both Spanish and World Language Education. After graduating from UGA, she taught Spanish at Centennial High School in Roswell, GA.
Ashley has been working with us for a short period of time but her charisma and personality makes her an easy person to befriend. She is a considerate and supportive individual who at a young age has mastered the ability to see and understand things from different perspectives. She is sensitive and is always concerned with how others might "feel" in any given situation. All in all, I would have to say that Ashley is a fine, well-balanced person with an abundance of positive qualities which explains why she is cherished by so many people.
On 06/27/2015 while driving to Atlanta to spend the weekend with her family, she was involved in a serious car accident and was air lifted to a hospital in Savannah. Ashley’s face injuries required reconstructive surgery and it is very likely that she will have severe or total loss of vision in one eye. This week she was released from the hospital, but has an array of follow- up visits with surgeons and other specialized doctors.
We know that those who have survived a traumatic accident like hers not only have to deal with the physical ramifications of their injuries, but also need to cope with the long-term emotional, psychological and financial ramifications of these unexpected changes.
Ashley will be out of work for an unspecified period of time. Please help her regain her footing in life by donating to this fundraiser. Your donation will help offset any medical and personal expenses that may result from these traumatic injuries.
While donations are humbly requested, we ask you to please continue to pray for her prompt and total recovery, and for continuous blessings in her life and future endeavors.
