Charlie’s Medical Expenses

Early May, I posted about how the cysts on Charlie’s pancreas were benign. We were misinformed. After a trip back to Shreveport, we found out the cysts are precancerous. The situation is not an if, but WHEN the cysts will turn cancerous. We have now been back and forth to Dallas multiple times to meet with one of the best GI surgeons and many tests. Today, we were informed that Charlie is going to have to have a Whipple surgery, which is a HUGE and last resort type of surgery in three weeks. We will be in the hospital for quite a while and then will have to stay in a hotel after for monitoring. Charlie will most likely be out of work for three months. We will also have multiple trips back and forth to Dallas after the surgery. 




We have been through a lot of disappointments and heartbreaks in our marriage, but this is the most serious issue. I know so many people love Charlie and we just want him well again, especially our 5 year old son.
