Tony's battle against Lymphoma
Donation protected
This is for our father, Anthony Albano:
In the early months of 2021, our father went to see his PCP regarding some discomfort he was feeling under his left rib cage. Thinking he might have pulled a muscle, his provider brushed it off. However, in the months following, our father noticed something was wrong, something didn’t feel right. A lump had started to develop and things became a little more concerning. After a series of doctors’ appointments, labs, and scans, our father was diagnosed with stage 4 diffuse large b-cell lymphoma in September 2021.
Our father began chemotherapy two days after my sister’s wedding in October. He purposely delayed the start of his treatment to make sure he could be present for his only daughter’s wedding. He has since completed his scheduled 6 rounds of chemotherapy and thought he was finished with his treatment.
This past Friday, we unfortunately found out that his battle will continue. He will now have to start another series of intensive chemotherapy that will require hospitalization. If remission is attained, then a stem cell transplant would follow.
Our father had to quit working back in September 2021 because of the treatments. But with every appointment comes a cost. With every procedure comes a cost. Every month the normal bills still arrive on time. Our father has too much pride to ask for help. He would rather deal with the circumstances privately.
However, we are asking for help for him. Whether it's reaching out, putting him in your thoughts and prayers, or helping with the unplanned expenses, it is all greatly appreciated. Our goal is to help with the out-of-pocket expenses and provide some peace of mind, so our father can focus on his continued fight.
From our family, thank you for your love and support.
