**Update** On 6/4/2026 Katie had surgery to address another large aneurysm on her right carotid artery. Recovery quickly went south the following day as the artery completely clotted off. This led to insufficient blood traveling to her brain causing now her third massive stroke and increased brain swelling. Katie is back in the Nuero Critical Care Unit fighting yet another uphill battle.**
On 5/19/2025 Katie suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm followed by a stroke. She was rushed to the University of Maryland Mecial Center for life threatening surgery and is now in critical recovery, fighting every minute with strength and resilience.
