Olive's ACL Surgery
Donation protected
Hello everyone!
My name is David and this is my sweet baby girl Olive. I adopted Olive 4 years ago, as a puppy, in Flagstaff Arizona. She has been my shadow, in everything I do, ever since. Olive’s favorite activities include swimming, playing fetch, and meeting anybody she sees. Recently, all of these activities have come to an immediate end. About three months ago, I noticed Olive started limping after a long day at the park playing fetch. As soon as this happened her leg became limp and hard to walk on, so I took her immediately to the emergency room and got her an X-ray. Since this original visit I have gotten multiple opinions from Orthopedic specialists and surgeons all over Denver. My goal was to search for every single option for her, including muscle therapy and minor surgeries that could possibly help or fix the problem. Despite my efforts, every doctor that I have talked to says she will need a full ACL replacement surgery if she wants to return to her normal activities without being in pain. While human ACL surgeries can be rather straightforward, it is very different for dogs. The surgeon will be fully reconstructing Olive's knee so Olive won’t be relying on her ACL once she fully heals. The surgery will not only fix Olive's knee, but get her back to being the happy, energetic, sweet girl that everyone knows and loves. My $6,000 Goal will pay for her $5,500 surgery cost and $500 for aftercare and medication costs. Any amount of money put in this fund goes directly to Olive!! Thank you so much for taking the time to listen and learn about Olive's story. I appreciate each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you so much!
Best,
David and Olive
