We are raising money for Yusra so she can get medical attention.

Yusra is bright and intelligent. She recently lost mobility to her arms and legs and needs a full time caregiver. Three months prior Yusra was mobile and attended school.

Yusra lives in Somalia. A war torn country that lacks universal and accessible health care. Yusra has seen two medical physicians in Somalia, her community was touched and raised $400. Yusra was seen by the local doctor, unfortunately as per the doctor little could be done for her locally. Yusra was taken to a bigger city, Galkayo, the doctor in Galkayo recommended Yusra seek medical attention outside Somalia as a her medical needs cannot be met, ie. brain scan and specialized doctors, etc

We are raising money to send her to Kenya where she can get medical diagnosis and medication.

Currently, Yusra needs assistance for all activities for daily living. For her to travel, she will be accompanied by her father, Abdi and a female caregiver. The money raised will cover accommodations, hospital bills and travel costs.

About Yusra's Family:

Yusra's older brother Awil suffers from mental health disorder. Yusra’s mother health has been affected by her daughters mysterious condition.


Yusra's father, Abdi no longer works and struggles to support his family.
