Help Yousef and his family escape to Egypt

My name is Savanna Ibelli and I am a student in the US. I am reaching out to raise funds to facilitate the evacuation of my mother's family from Gaza.

My mother's cousin, Yousef, along with his wife Summer, and daughter Ghada, are currently trapped in Gaza amidst relentless bombardment. Yousef suffers from a heart condition and has undergone open-heart surgery in the past. However, he has been unable to access the necessary medication since the onset of the genocide. Moreover, Ghada, their daughter, was scheduled for eye surgery. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing bombing, she has sustained additional injuries to her eyes, requiring urgent treatment and medication that she has been unable to receive.

Earlier in this genocide, Yousef suffered an unimaginable tragedy. His eldest son, Fathi, was tragically killed when a building they sought shelter in was bombed while they slept. This devastating event also claimed the lives of Yusef's brother, Anis, Anis' wife, and their six children, as well as his brother Mohammed, Mohammed's wife, and their four children. Additionally, Yousef's youngest sister, Duaa, only 23 years old, was also among those who were killed.

They have endured the agony of forced displacement multiple times since the genocide began. Their family home was mercilessly bombed, reduced to rubble, leaving them with no choice but to flee. Seeking refuge, they found temporary shelter in Rafah, staying with friends. However, this house they sought solace in was also bombed.

They returned to their neighborhood, where they now find themselves seeking shelter amidst the remnants of their bombed-out home. The incessant cacophony of bombs dropping around them is a constant reminder of the uncertainty they face, unsure if each passing moment may be their last. The conditions that they are facing now are unimaginable. It was not their first choice to open a donations page but they are in desperate need to reach some security and medical treatment.

In order to secure their safety and escape the ongoing dangers, their only viable option is to evacuate to Egypt via the Rafah border crossing. Unfortunately, many challenges are keeping my family from safety. They require funds to cover various expenses, for passage through the border, transportation costs, and immediate medical treatment upon their arrival.
