Yurt Fund for Unplugged Adventures
Donation protected
Unplugged Adventures was founded by Christa Thomas 6 years ago in response to the increasing need for families to slow down, unplug from technology and reconnect in nature. What started as family pop-up events and the introduction of Timbernook of West Georgia, quickly transformed into networking events, wildcrafting, monthly art classes and annual events, such as family campouts, Mud Day and guided hikes. This led to the creation of our present-day Farm & Forest nature programs. We serve ages 3 to 12 and offer 100% outdoor nature programming with an emphasis on play. This upcoming year, we want to give more to our families and community of learners by adding a yurt in addition to our three outdoor classroom spaces. We need your help with this building project! This yurt would be used as a shelter from the elements, as well as additional classroom space. It will afford us the opportunity to add more nature enrichment classes, in addition to our already existing programming. The yurt will be a beautiful offering to our Farm & Forest children as a place of rest, respite and other more structured learning opportunities.
