Dear Friends,  Family and Social Media, I'am reaching out  to let you know why we are kicking off a Gofundme  to help my sister Yurlen.  

As some of you may know my sister has special needs, and respecting her I cannot divulge much.  I can however tell you she is  physically 43  but her mind, actions, behavior  is of an 7 year old child.  Our mother passed away in Venezuela  and our dad is 80 years old and can not take care of her, the next step was to send her back to Venezuela, my husband and I have placed papers in the courts to take over as her legal guardians immediately.

We have  decided to  take care of Yurlen for the rest of her life.  I was not going to abandoned my sister,  as it is she  calls me  mommie.  As you are aware Venezuela is a communist regimen where human beings have no freedom whatsoever. Venezuela has lack of medical care, and my sister will be also consider an outcast in their society of no value and would be mistreated and placed in an institution to just literally pass away. I be sending her to her death bed.

My husband at the present time is the only provider to our family of four.  We have taken over all her medical expenses as well as her emotional well being where she feels safe, protected and loved. My sister needs to attend a special program and she has no benefits in the USA being she is not a resident (a work in progress as well) which as you can see is one expense after another to now our  family of five.

I have two kids that I home school. I want my sister to have a type of social life.  Previously she was at a free special need school but because of COVID and my family having to relocate we no longer are able to. There she had made special friendships, she enjoyed going and socializing, and we feel it gave her a sense of being, she is an individual, a beautiful human being, loved and cared for by all of us.

I have found a new special need program in our area for Yurlen but it is way beyond what we can afford. So, yes, we need your help. Listed is the fee they are charging us, if you can donate even a $1 it will add up so Yurlen can start immediately.
