My Dad’s wish

I’m not sure how to start this or how to say this but my Dad died two days ago.. and it’s been a living hell ever since. We thought there was money for funeral services. We were always told there was and come to find out there is none. We don’t have money to burry my Dad because we thought it was already there. We didn’t know it was gone or it would have been taken care of. Now, my family has two days to come up with the money to make this happen for my father or he is to be cremated against everyone’s wishes, including his own.

My father’s wish after he passed was to be buried next to his family in a plot that has already been purchased and paid for. There has never been any cremations in my family and THIS is not what my father meant about being laid to rest. In our family we have traditions. Very important ones that mean A LOT to our blood line. We bury our own family members at the end of their service. We place items with them before they are lowered. This is such an important thing to our family to mourn and truthfully for my father in order to rest.

I’ve been fighting tooth and nail to avoid a cremation of my father for two days now and finally got an agreement from the POA to have no cremation at all. As long as I can find the money .. I don’t have $10,000 just sitting around and now I’ve been given two days. The funeral costs $8,000-9,000 so the additional is to help cover the fee’s that this website charges. My one and only goal here is to put my dad in the grave that he was supposed to be in, in the condition he wanted to be in and that is not cremated.

I wouldn’t be here if I had another way of making this happen and this is extremely hard for me to do but I don’t want to have my dad’s last resting place be against his wishes. I would never be able to live with myself.
