Help theory become a programmer

I am a self-taught computer programmer and am currently looking for work, for the past two years, I have studied a number of concepts, languages, and frameworks for developing web and mobile applications.

But in order to get a job,  I need a strong portfolio.
 
I am looking for funding to cover my cost of living over the next few months as I build a few applications to add to my portfolio and gain employment.
