Yum That's Good! Cottage Bakery License Startup

Donation protected
C is for cookie, that's good enough for me! Cookie Monster said it best. His love of cookies is a prime example of what happens to people when they taste Crista's yummy baking. Before the pandemic began, Crista planted the seeds to get her baking business primed and ready to go. She received her busines license and plans were put in motion to finally get Yum That's Good off the ground. Unfortunately, the pandemic has caused all of her small business grant sources to be reserved for businesses that were established before the end of last year. In a fantastic turn of events, a local business tested Crista's cookies, granola, and yummy scones and decided they want to have her provide the baked goods for their establishment! In order for her to consumate the deal, we must get our home situated to operate within the bounds of Washington's Cottage Food law. The startup costs cover the Cottage license application, storage containers, extra refrigeration, food supplies, and presentation packaging needed to get the business up and running. With our familial income source limited to a single income, and no small business grants available, we do not have the startup capital we need to take advantage of this unique opportunity. We live in a small community and this is the break that we have been waiting for. Your donation will ensure that Crista gets the funds she needs to get officially established as a Cottage food business in Washington so she can enter the local marketplace and establish her name. This will enable us to establish a long needed second income for our family so we can continue to grow her business to Farmers Markets, Craft Fairs, other Local Festivals, and eventually shipping all over the country. With our son being special needs, this opportunity presents our best chance at getting the in-home business established. We will be forever grateful for your donation and investment in this dream in the making!
