Yulo’s Fight for Life After Losing His Mother

THE BOY WHO WAITED AT THE DOOR: A Mother’s Wings, A Son’s Fight, and a Father’s Faith ❤️

“Mommy.”

At just two years old, Yulo doesn’t understand what forever means. All he knows is that on January 3, 2026, his world suddenly became quiet.
A tragic motorbike accident took his mother—his guiding light, his comfort, and the one who loved him more than anything in this world. While heaven gained an angel, a little boy here on earth lost the arms that once held him every day.
For weeks, Yulo stood by the door clutching his toy, waiting for his mommy to come home. In his innocent heart, he believed she would walk through the door again.
But God had another plan.
The grief was too heavy for such a small child to carry. As his tiny heart mourned, his body began to weaken. What we first thought was simply the sadness of losing his mother turned into something far more serious—an unconfirmed case of Tuberculosis that quickly progressed into Tuberculous Meningitis (TBM).

Fluid began building around his brain, causing severe and painful seizures that shook his fragile little body.
In that moment, all we could do was pray.

THE DAY WE PLACED EVERYTHING IN GOD’S HANDS
On February 17, Yulo’s life hung by a thread.
Doctors rushed him into emergency brain surgery while our family prayed desperately for God’s mercy and healing. In that terrifying moment, we surrendered everything to Him.

And by God’s grace, a miracle happened.

Yulo survived.

When he opened his eyes again, the first face he saw was his father—a man already carrying the unbearable grief of losing his wife, now praying with all his heart that he would not lose his only son too.

A FATHER HOLDING ON TO FAITH

My brother has been incredibly strong, but even the strongest hearts can break. He is grieving the love of his life while standing beside his son in the fight for survival.

After weeks in the hospital, Yulo was finally discharged. However, we were only able to leave after signing a promissory note for the remaining hospital bill because we simply could not afford to pay the full balance. We made this painful decision so that the hospital stay would not continue adding more charges we could no longer manage.
Although Yulo is now home and slowly recovering, his journey to healing is not yet finished.
He must undergo long-term treatment for Tuberculosis for at least one year, along with regular follow-up checkups and medications to ensure his full recovery and prevent complications.

We truly believe that God saved Yulo’s life for a reason. But right now, we cannot walk this journey alone.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

As Yulo’s aunt, I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my brother and our family. Yulo and his father are currently in the Philippines, and I am doing everything I can from afar to support them during this incredibly difficult time.
As a mother myself, I have knelt on the cold hospital floor and prayed for miracles. I know the pain of asking God to protect a child.

I cannot stand by and watch my brother lose the last piece of his heart simply because we cannot afford the care his son needs.
Yulo has been given a second chance at life. Please help him keep it.

Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward Yulo’s remaining hospital bills and his ongoing medical treatment. If you are unable to donate, sharing this story and keeping Yulo in your prayers would mean the world to our family.
We believe God works through the kindness and compassion of others.
Your generosity, prayers, and support will help give Yulo the chance to heal, grow, and live the beautiful life his mother dreamed for him.
Thank you for being part of the miracle God is writing in Yulo’s life.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18

With faith, gratitude, and hope,

Yulo’s family
