Yuki's Medical Recovery: Support an Artist in Need

Donation protected
Yuki Matsuse is an artist living in Japan. We are both art students in Prescott College’s online program, where we met sharing our works virtually with each other. He is one of the most skilled and imaginative watercolor and oil painters I have ever met. His work makes cultural commentary on the scenes he depicts in painting and film, finding inspiration from what he observes in his home city of Tokyo. He translates cultural moments that he feels comment on our society using freeze frame Youtube videos and films as source material for sketches and paintings. These moments are often colorful, eccentric, and playful. He has been working full-time in the corporate world while pursuing his art education at Prescott College. Yuki is also an avid surfer, skateboarder, and cyclist.

This year, Yuki had an unexpected stroke. His right hand and arm have become paralyzed. He almost wandered between life and death. We are asking for your support to go towards his medical recovery. Hopefully he can start the treatment he wants to try as soon as he's released from the hospital. Although these medical expenses are high, any donation you are able to make is greatly appreciated. We hope you can make a donation as soon as possible so he can get back on his feet and return to his incredible work as a visual artist.

Thank you
