This week, my 8-month-old kitten, Yuki, underwent a front-leg amputation to stop the potential spread of cancer and prevent painful arthritis from a severe elbow fracture and chondrosarcoma. I rescued Yuki when she was just 2 weeks old, who became orphaned after a tragic encounter with a stray dog. Since then, I’ve given her all the love and care I can, and she’s grown into the most affectionate, spirited little cat. A chondrosarcoma is incredibly rare especially for a kitten her age. This sudden medical crisis has brought overwhelming emotional and financial strain — something I can’t manage alone as a student. Your support will go directly toward her medical bills, including bloodwork, X-rays, pain meds, and surgery costs. Even if she wont be able to hold my hand the same, every contribution helps Yuki recover and gives her the chance to live a happy, healthy life on three paws.
