Yukiko Halvorson Family
Donation protected
On Friday, July 12, 2019, our beloved Yukiko Halvorson suffered a seizure and massive brain aneurysm while exercising on an elliptical machine. She was taken to Overlake Hospital where she has been surrounded with continual love from her sons, Nygell and Nick. The family was joined by Amy (Nygell's girlfriend), church friends, former classmates, teachers, patients,/clients, and colleagues.
Yukiko has passed on the eve of July 17, and will remain on life support until she is joined by her family from Japan on Saturday, July 20th.
Those who know Yukiko, know that she would NEVER want any attention drawn to herself, which is why she refused to have a business website and participate in social media. She truly believed in being a good-hearted person and doing good to EVERYONE. Always thinking of others, she never asked a favor from anyone. As a first and last favor, I am asking for her and her boys.
I remember after I was in a car accident in Oakland on December 17, 2015, I contacted Yukiko immediately to see if I could schedule an appointment upon my return to Bellevue. She said, "Tell me when you land. I'll be at my office waiting for you." As promised, she saw me that same night at 8 pm. This was the type of woman she was, selflessly ready to help at anytime. I'm certain many of you have similar stories to share of her gentle kindness.
Yukiko has a heart of gold and she wore it well! Her endless compassion and empathy for people is what set her apart as a healer.
If Yukiko touched your life, let's help touch her life by supporting her sons through this difficult time.
Nygell, Yukiko's eldest son, is in his final year to attaining his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Glass Sculpture at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. He later plans to move to Japan to further his studies under a famous Japanese glass artist. Boy, Yukiko will be so proud! Through tireless nights of body healing, she has been supportive of his dreams.
Nick, the youngest son, has begun to lay the foundation of being an entrepreneur and his own boss, by starting his online personal training/fitness business. With Yukiko's strong work ethic and tenacity, he is on his way to being a success!
Both of Yukiko's sons are well-accomplished and on their path to starting their successful careers. IF you find it in your heart and you feel you'd like to support them through this difficult time, please show your love for Yukiko by donating to her sons and their future endeavors.
Together, let's remember her legacy as a daughter, sister, mother, therapist/healer, colleague, and true friend.
Yukiko-san, you will never be forgotten and we truly appreciate the time we shared with you.
