My friend Richard (Aka Yukie) is a wonderful human who does all he can to find a safe space for people in real life and online. Yukie is an amazingly positive human given their own pain and pre-existing medical condition, Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome (sometimes referred to as the Suicide Disease). They typically stream on Twitch for fun and to provide a digital safe space as well. They work on their home in their spare time when their pain allows, and are in the middle of a critically needed remodel of their bathroom.

Richard had a slip and fall on February 16, 2023. This normally results in bruises for most of us, maybe a minor broken bone. In part because of the CRPS and the way they fell, Yukie cracked 4 vertebrae. Yukie was fortunate that they didn't crack their skull in the fall as well. The ER doctor said it was amazing that Yukie wasn't paralyzed. They are expected to be off work for 6 months minimum, and at least 8 weeks until they feel even moderately close to "normal".

Also because of the CRPS, which already limited their mobility, they need to get an electric wheelchair. They may be in this wheelchair for months or years to come. They also need help obtaining meds and paying bills until they can return to work.

Any excess funds will be used to pay for materials and possibly labor to finish repairs that Yukie had started on their home. As they won't be able to do so for an undetermined period of time, but will need to get the bathroom repairs finished to reduce any chance of falls or even tripping and injuring himself further.
