Yuki\'s 21st Birthday Fund: Tsunami Relief Efforts
On April 24, 2011 I will be turning
the big 2-1 and for months I've been thinking of a memorable way to celebrate
21 years of life that the Lord has given me.
With the passing of my father last May, I kept reflecting on his
selfless teachings and great compassion for others. I finally realized that after 21 years, God
has proved himself time and time again as a great provider for not only myself but
my family. Thus, I can honestly admit
that I don't need or want any material or personal gifts to
celebrate.
Instead, I have decided to give back
to a community desperately in need.
Therefore, in the oncoming weeks I have set a goal to fundraise $2100 for the families who have been
severely impacted by the tsunami in Japan on March 11, 2011. I assure you that 100% of the proceeds will
be donated to the relief efforts of the Convoy of Hope, a non-profit
organization which has served more than 41 million
people throughout the world through international children's feeding
initiatives, community outreaches, disaster response and partner resourcing. Please take this time to reflect on our
privileged positions and help me celebrate my birthday by showing compassion to
those in need.
Thank you so much for your support in helping me reach my goal!

compassion. If you want to be happy,
practice compassion"
