Help Moose get surgery
Donation protected
Greetings friends! I never thought I would have to create a gofundme but I’ve been left no other choice after discovering my puppies life altering condition.
This past November, I rescued my puppy from a Northern Ontario Reserve. When Moose was born he was left to freeze outside, but fate had other plans for him, and on November 8th he came home to me. Weighing only 3.5 lbs, he seemed in perfect health other than obtaining lice and worms from his previous living conditions. I quickly noticed some marks on his eyeball. Upon his first vet exam a month ago, we discovered that the marks were not scratches but in fact strands of hair growing on his eye.
The condition - called Ocular Dermoids, is an extra layer of tissue that grows on the cornea or conjunctiva resulting in hair growth on the eyeball.
This condition is a risk to leave untreated as it can result in overgrowth and infection resulting in loss of the dogs eye. Moose will require laser eye surgery which is quoted as a costly treatment by True North Veterinary Clinic in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
I’m reaching out to to my friends and family in hopes that anyone willing to give a small donation toward our surgery costs will help me pay for at least some of his treatment. Any donation (even a dollar) is so greatly appreciated during this time. Thank you all for your kindness...
Moose and I are so grateful for your contribution in allowing him full, clear vision so he can explore the world through the eyes of a new pup ❤️
