Following the start of the Yom Kippur War in 1973, the Rebbe established the “Mitzvah Tank,” a conduit to deliver Torah and Mitzvos to Jews across the globe.
While the soldiers fought a physical war in Israel, the Rebbe encouraged Lubavitchers to arm themselves for a spiritual battle, albeit thousands of miles away.
This year’s parade will take place on Yud Nissan, in advance of the Rebbe’s birthday. Commemorating 75 years of the Rebbe’s nesius, we will celebrate by dispatching tanks to reach Yidden across the city.
