In memory of Abby

December 4th will be one year without Abby. I can't speak for anyone else, but my journey with grief has been unlike anything I could have ever imagined. There have been more hard days than good days, but I'm doing the work to honor my sister in how I choose to live my life every day. Her dramatic phone calls are missed, her questionable hair color choices are missed and gosh, what I wouldn't give to sing in the car with her one more time.

Angel Baby is an organization that came into our lives after they preserved a yellow flower from Abby's services. They support families who have lost children by creating space to remember them. During the holidays, they organize a vigil of over 35,000 candles along Main Street and at Shorefront Park in Patchogue. Abby will be represented this year, and our family is grateful for the opportunity to honor her in that way.

We're planning on giving back to Angel Baby with a donation that will help other families going through the pain we know too well. If you'd like to contribute in her memory, anything you can give makes a difference.
