2020 has been a bitch.  This year has not been what any of us have expected. It has hit all of us in various ways, either physically, financially, or emotionally, and as if the events of this already unforgettable year aren't enough, 2020 will be remembered as the year when Joey and our lovely Nina found out on October 16th that she has breast cancer - Stage 2B ductal carcinoma.  The good news is Nina's prognosis is very good - and for that we are so grateful.  The less good news is that treatment will be provided in several steps over several months, most of which Nina is hoping to work through.  So, now not only is this newly blended family of Nina and Joey, Nate, Drake, Wyatt and Cleric faced with the fact that Nina has cancer and everything that is to follow to make her healthy again, Nina and Joey also are faced with an even greater financial uncertainty than the one they were already dealing with.  
Most of us, when we hear this kind of news, want to reach out, want DO something.  I know there have been financial stresses for so many of us this year, but this family has really been through it.
I am asking for us - family and friends - to pull together for them and show our support for this family in a way that will help ease their worry about supporting their family.  For most of us it is hard to be so far away from them knowing what they are and will be going through.  The things we could be doing like making meals for them , running errands, doing other things so they don't have to worry about it are not going to be possible.  I know collectively we as their family and friends, will provide them with an abundance of emotional support and shoulders to lean/cry on, ears to listen to them, and many, many virtual hugs.  But, because there is nothing else I can do, and I know this will help them so much and be so appreciated, I am asking for not the emotional support I know you will all offer to them during this journey, but I am also asking for an offer for financial  assistance for them.  Nina and Joey are our people - our daughter, our son, our siblings, our friends.
