Friends and Family,
Thank you for all your offers to help my Mom and Dad. As you know, this has been a trying time for our family.
Last Saturday, September 12, 2015 in Cobb Ca, as Mom and Dad readied to go to dinner with their eldest daughter and granddaughter, there was an urgent banging on their door. A neighbor had come by to inform them that a large fire was fast approaching and they needed to evacuate immediately!
With no time to spare, they were able to grab a change of clothes, a small box of important papers, and a jacket before racing down the mountain to Middletown where they thought they would be safe for the night, never imagining that they or their house was really in that much danger. After all, there had been many fires in the area lately and none had come so close.
They took refuge in the Twin Pines Casino where they met up with their daughter and granddaughter and managed to have a relatively relaxing dinner even though the electricity threatened to go out at any moment. Just after finishing that meal, they were made aware that Middletown was now being evacuated, so they quickly made their way to Calistoga.
Luckily we have some generous and kind family in Napa that were able to take them in. Today we learned that the house did not survive. (Photo Below)The whole neighborhood has turned to ash.

It is a large undertaking to begin anew; they must find a new place to live and replace the necessities of life while mourning the loss of our shared family history.
I am asking for a little help for them, to get them started in this new and unexpected life. I anticipate that they will use the funds to pay first month, last month, and deposit on a place to live, as well as household items they need to get by in thier daily life while they figure out next steps.
No amount is too small, as it will all make a difference.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
With Love,
