Hi my name is Bridgette Charleston i’m looking for a new electric wheelchair and have been quoted £14,000 for an electric wheelchair that meets my physical needs, there’s no nhs funding available for anything towards anything after you turn 18, up until now i always found the money but wheelchairs keep getting more expensive and for some reason the labour government has stopped people on high level personal independent payments (pip) to use their pip benefits to fund a wheelchair for themselves my wheelchair is 10 years old, I don’t have any savings for a new wheelchair because of care charges and the bills forever going up, I have cerebral palsy and spinal injury so I really do need a new wheelchair, can you help me get the funds I actually need for a new wheelchair
