Kidney Transplant Expenses

After battling chronic end stage kidney disease for many years and being on the kidney transplant list for two years, our prayers were answered and Dan Ley underwent a kidney transplant surgery on October 19, 2020.  We are so thankful for this blessing and new lease on life that this provides Dan.  He is doing well, however he has to be driven back to Indianapolis three days a week to receive treatment and to monitor the effectiveness of his anti-rejection medications.  This is over a two hour and half hour drive each way, and we have to be at the hospital at 7:00am, staying there for more than half a day each time.
 
With the cost of the surgery, co-pays for each hospital and doctor’s visit, prescription costs for his anti-rejection medications, as well as the expenses associated with traveling three days a week to Indianapolis (gas, food and lodging), we are asking for help in covering these costs.  Dan lives primarily on disability due to his illness and the 10 hour of daily dialysis he required prior to receiving the transplant.
