August 30th our lives were completely turned around. As a family we have kept things very private mostly because we were extremely overwhelmed. As some of you know- the week of my wedding. My dad was in a awful car accident. The extent of his injuries were all life threatening. His aorta in his  heart ruptured. “The morality from an aortic rupture is up to 90% . 65%- 75% of patients die before they are arrive at Hosptial & 90% of patients die before they reach the operating table” . Dad underwent heart surgery & had an experimental heart stint placed in his heart . Only 50 people have this stint that saved my dads life. They told us they almost lost him multiple times on the table. Dad fractured his pelvis , broke all ribs, has an L4 fracture in his back and a punctured lung. On top of the heart surgery- He has already underwent a pelvic surgery to have plates placed & also had a plate placed in his arm. Dad has no neurological damage. We have been told by many many doctors- dad shouldn’t be alive. Medically doctors couldn’t explain to us how he survived. But we know why he did. The Lord placed a hand of protection of his life. We will never be able to express the presence of the Lord our family has felt. Dad has a long road of recovery ahead. He still has to have  a double knee surgery & two hand surgeries that has to happen in the future. We are still getting a game plan from Grady for all his treatment moving forward. Right now dad is wheelchair bound.

My parents - never ask for anything from anyone . They never would.

But, on their behalf I am. I have felt like the Lord gave me a peace about doing this. My family has been through more than anyone can imagine the last year honestly. However , the Lord has walked with us so closely & that we are so thankful for. Many times I had no idea how I could possibly survive or get married in the midst of heartache..... only because of the Lord. My mom was out of work for over 5 weeks & dad will not be working anytime soon. My mom is dads full time care giver , working in insurance , running a gym & also caring for Kerrigan. I just want to bless them & take some stress off of them. They have done so much for me & so many others. I’m ready to return that blessing to them. I pray the body of Christ will continue surrounding our family in this time of healing. Thank you everyone who has reached out , who has prayed & bringing them meals. We are so thankful. The Lord has carried us this far & we know He will continue to. ❤️
