Jasmine’s Eye Surgery

Hi!

My name is Jen. I’d like to share a bit about a precious student leader who leads in my daughter’s class in LifeKids at Life.Church NW! Her name is Jasmine and I also get to serve with her mom, Amy, at Guest services every week. Jasmine and her sister Jailyn serve so faithfully and have truly helped my daughter have a joyful experience in LifeKids each week!

This week I learned that Jasmine is having surgery on her left eye. After months of noticing blurry vision, they went to get it checked out. They found that the blurry sight was caused by a degenerative eye disease. Amy shared with me that they are able to surgically fix the damage done by the disease, but unfortunately there was no coverage from insurance. My heart broke hearing this news! As much as Amy has worked to find a solution to cover the cost through insurance, there isn’t one out there. The surgery is still scheduled to happen so that Jasmine can see out of her left eye, but the financial burden will now be up to Amy to cover. Amy is one of the most kind and generous single moms and I know anything would be a blessing to her to help cover this needed surgery. She has no idea that I am putting together a way to help cover the medical cost so please help keep this a secret. We would love to surprise her!
