As some of you may know, our daughter Athena has cystic fibrosis. A genetic disease which affects the lungs and other organs of the body. I am not one to do these type of things but learning she will be having a lobectomy (where they remove a lobe of the lung) within months, maybe even sooner now, is very frightening. We will be having to take leave from our jobs to be able to be there and support our daughter as well as our other daughter. But with that comes other stress factors. Worrying about monthly bills, food, and other expenses such as having to drive back and forth from Pittsfield to Boston. As of today, 6/28, Athena was admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit in Springfield due to bilateral pneumonia and will be undergoing a bronchoscopy to get a better look at her lungs. Anything will help during these trying times for our family. Thank you.
