Gerri's Fight

Gerri, as many of you know is a loving mother of 3 that would absolutely move mountains for her children, and unfortunately the time has come for them to return the favor.

As of Tuesday, November 16th Gerri had suffered from what is thought to be a heart attack at this point, which had progressed into a collapsed lung among many other complications. She was sent via flight to Robert Packer in Sayre, PA. Upon finding that her lung collapsed, doctors had discovered that she also had clots in the opposite lung. After more tests including multiple CAT scans, EEGS, EKGs, and MRI'S it was determined that she has suffered a minor stroke on the right side of her brain, and a subdural hematoma (brain bleed) on the left. This had prompted Robert Packer to send her via flight to where she is at now, in the Thomas Jefferson center for Neuroscience in Philadelphia, as they wait for her to be strong enough for them to lift the sedation that she is under, and give her the fighting chance to breathe on her own. Though doctors have hopes of recovery there is a very long road ahead for both Gerri, as well as her family.
