Bosco’s penis reconstruction ~ amputation

Bosco came to me as a foster dog in September 2020 he was 12 months old

Bosco is a King Charles Cavalier spaniel X dachshund.

Bosco was attacked by a big dog as a puppy.

He was kept in a outdoor cage Muzzled 24/7 tormented by four children with rocks and stones through the bars of the cage

He had severe reactivity to humans and noise. His trust issues were terrible.

I’d had fostered 20+ dogs and puppies before.

I foster failed and adopted Bosco within weeks of his arrival.

The Last two years with Bosco have been a challenge. But worth it every minute. Seeing the difference in him has been wonderful. He has filled my home with so much love.

He is so much fun. He loves to play. And thrives on as much enrichment as possible.

Life was so good. I couldn’t be happier. Health wise things were changing for me too. I had an admission to Blacktown hospital that resulted in a medical negligence 8 years ago. I left the hospital paralysed left hip down in a wheelchair.

I found an amazing doctor who changed my life in the last two years.

Sadly things have changed for Bosco. He needs surgery.

His little Willy has fused to the outer skin.

The surgeon will attempt to reconstruct. If he can’t. They will amputate his penis.

This Major surgery.

And he needs the surgery now. He is at risk every day waiting.

I took out Health insurance for Bosco. But this is considered Pre existing and not covered.

The cost of the surgery is $4000

I don’t have the funds to pay. I used all my savings to pay for my Medical bills.

I’m devastated this has happened.

After helping so many other rescue dogs and puppies. I now need to ask for your help. This is so difficult for me to do. But I’m out of options and running out of time.

Bosco is at risk every day without the surgery.

Working with rescues over the years. We use the phrase.

“It takes a village to help save rescue dogs.”

Bosco doesn’t know he needs a village.

He doesn’t know that Im, not enough.

He’s oblivious that he’s at risk every day.
