Hi, my name is Lee Harker, and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that nothing in this world means more to me than dogs. I’ve always had a huge passion for helping dogs, and now I want to take that passion further than I ever have before—literally!
In May 2026, once I finish my current work contract, I’ll be setting off on an incredible challenge: running across 6 countries, from Skagen in northern Denmark all the way down to Tarifa in southern Spain. That’s around 4,500km, crossing through Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and finally Spain. I’m aiming to complete it in about 4 months. The run will be called “Running for Paws.”
Why am I doing this? To raise money to create a very special dog rescue called “Paws4Ever.” This rescue will focus on giving elderly dogs a loving, safe, and comfortable place to spend their final years. Whether they’ve been abandoned, surrendered, or just need a home in their last chapter, they’ll get the care and love they deserve.
I won’t be doing this alone. Paws4Ever will be created together with the amazing existing shelter, Paws Xaló Dog Rescue in Alicante, Spain. Led by founder Jayne Webb and her daughter Natasha, and all of the incredible volunteers, Paws Xaló has already saved countless dogs and given them a second chance. With their experience, dedication, and heart, this new project will be built on strong foundations and real love for dogs. It will be self funded, all of the costs involved in the run (and walking if i can’t run no more), so 100% of your donations go directly to achieving the goal of creating Paws4Ever.
I know it’s a big dream, but every step I take will be for them. Any support, whether it’s a donation, sharing this page, or cheering me on along the way, means the world to me—and even more to the dogs who will benefit.
From everyone involved with Paws and myself — thank you for being part of this journey.
❤️ Every step for a pawprint.
Thanks in advance
