Funeral de mi hermano. My brother’s funeral

Como muchos saben, mi nombre es Yaleris y soy una de las hermanas de Heriberto Díaz. Herito, Heri, Goldito, así lo conocían muchos. El pasado 5 de julio mi hermano decidió pasar por el hospital porque no se sentía muy bien y allí decidieron hospitalizarlo para lidear con algunos problemas que estaba presentando en su sangre. Desafortunadamente mi hermano falleció el pasado martes a causa de una embolia pulmonar que le causó un fallo cardiaco. Jamás en la vida, siendo la hermana menor de 3 hermanos, hubiera esperado tener que vivir la muerte de mi hermano mayor. Él tan sólo tenía 43 años.

Mi hermano era la persona más graciosa que jamás hubieran conocido. No importaba cuan triste o difícil una situación fuera, el SIEMPRE tenía un chiste que hacer o encontraba la manera de sacarte una sonrisa. Yo siempre supe cuan especial era él, pero no fue hasta ahora que me pude dar cuenta de cuán querido y amado fue por tantas y tantas personas. Desde Puerto Rico, Virgia Beach, New York y Florida, ahora puedo entender cuantas vidas mi hermano impactó con su increible sentido del humor y su personalidad tan jocosa y esa alegría que nos contagiaba a todos. Tendría mil historias que contar para que los que no lo llegaron a conocer supieran el personaje que era él y lo especial que era. No sólo su alegría pero ese corazón tan tierno y dulce que tenía definitivamente lo hacia ser un ser humano extraordinario.

Muchas personas se me han acercado con la intensión de ayudar de alguna manera porque siente la necesidad de hacer una última cosa por el goldito así que nuestra familia decidió abrir esto, para poder colectar algunos fondos para cubrir los gastos funebres que se llevarán acabo en Melbourne, Florida en la próxima semana. Cualquier ayuda es bien recibida. Necesitamos asegurarnos de hacer todo lo posible por rendir homenaje y celebrarlo de la mejor manera posible como sólo él lo merece.

Gracias a todos por sus mensajes de aliento, pero sobretodo gracias de todo corazón por amarlo tanto y mostrarle todos esos gestos de cariño en vida. Les pido de favor que vayan hoy a abrazar a sus hermanos y no importa qué, les digan cuantos los aman y cuan importante son para ustedes. Nunca sabes cuando será el último abrazo que le puedas dar.

As many know, my name is Yaleris and I am one of Heriberto Díaz's sisters. Herito, Heri, Goldito, that's how many of you knew him. On July 5, my brother decided to go to the hospital because he did not feel well, while he was there they decided to hospitalize him so that they could deal with some problems that he was having with his blood. Unfortunately my brother passed away this last Tuesday from a pulmonary embolism that caused him a heart failure. Being the youngest sister of 3 siblings, I never thought that I would have had to live through the death of my older brother. He was only 43 years old. My brother was the funniest person you would have ever met. No matter how sad or difficult a situation was, he ALWAYS had a joke to make or found a way to make you smile. I always knew how special he was, but it wasn’t until now that I have realized how dear and loved he was by so many people. From Puerto Rico, Virginia Beach, New York and Florida, I now understand how many lives my brother’s life touched with his incredible sense of humor and his contagious happiness. I could tell a thousand stories so that those who did not get to know him would know what a character he was and how special he was. He had a joyfully and tender, sweet loving heart that definitely made him an extraordinary human being. Many people have approached me with the intention of helping in some way because they feel the need to do one last thing for the Goldito so our family decided to open this, in order to collect some funds to cover the funeral expenses that will take place in Melbourne, Florida in the next week. Any help is welcome. We need to make sure that we do everything possible to pay tribute and celebrate him in the best possible way we can. He deserves the best. Thank you all for your messages of encouragement, but above all, thank you with all my heart for loving him so much and showing him all those gestures of affection in life. Please go hug your siblings today and no matter what, tell them how much you love them and how important they are to you. You never know when the last hug you can give him will be.
