Hi my name is Edith and I’m about to turn 50 years old this year. I have three kids and three grandkids. I’m also happily married with my husband of 30 years. I was diagnosed with kidney failure about 21 years ago at the age 29. It wasn’t until I was 30 that I was able to start my dialysis due to having financial difficulties. I have been doing dialysis treatment for about 20 years. Recently, I have been moved up on the list to receive a kidney transplant. In addition to the cost of the surgery, I will have to be on medication for the rest of my life. Right after the surgery, I will have to take 60 pills everyday until my body can fully accept the new kidney. Unfortunately, we don’t know how long this can take, possibly one to two years, maybemore. To be able to get this surgery done, I need to have secured myself financially for both the surgery and the medication post surgery. This transplanted kidney could last me 10-12 years. Thankfully, I have been given the opportunity to have this surgery. I’ve been hoping for a miracle and praying for the chance to be able to live a beautiful life alongside my family. If you can donate to help support my new journey, I will be eternally grateful! Any amount donated is truly appreciated! God bless!
