We are a team of year 10 pupils from Ysgol Dyffryn Aman in South Wales who have recently been crowned the South West Wales LEGO FLL Regional Champions. This is a prestigious title and one which Ysgol Dyffryn Aman are immensely proud of for the second year running.

As a school we have competed over the last 10+ years and won a range of different awards, and this only the second time we have won the overall competition and are therefore very excited for the next step...THE UK NATIONAL FINALS.

We scored the highest points in the head-to-head LEGO Robot challenge, impressed the judges with our LEGO Robot design and programming as well as presented an innovation project based on exploring the oceans which we developed based on feedback from professionals.

We are one of only a few secondary schools from Wales chosen to compete in the UK National Finals on May 3rd 2025 in Harrogate Convention Centre and we would like your support to ensure we are able to embrace this amazing opportunity.

Last year we said that we see this as a once in a lifetime opportunity! For some of us it is as we are new to the team; for the rest of us even though it will be our second time, opportunities like this don’t come along every day.

Having to travel all the way to Harrogate means we need to cover the costs of fuel and accommodation for the weekend and this is where your kind donations will be going…getting us there and making sure we can compete!

We are all really excited to be going to the Finals to represent our school and all of Wales and we aim to do our very best and make those who have supported us proud.
