Little Treasures Burials

The Little Treasures Program was conceived
during a DUI Awareness Program called Every
15 Minutes. While filming a segment... at the
County Coroner's Office for the program, it was
discovered that there were babies that were
abandoned and unclaimed awaiting cremation
by the County of Santa Clara. After asking
several questions and getting some answers, it
was decided to do something about the baby's
ultimate fate.

The procedure for adults and infants that remain unclaimed is cremation via County funds. We felt the babies deserved better than this and the least we could do was to try and give them a proper burial. With this information, we embarked on a mission.

On July 22, 2005 the first service was held
for four of babies. Each baby was
wrapped in a receiving blanket, given a
ted...dy bear for company and a poem written
especially for them.

With each service that we provide, each baby is wrapped in a blanket, a teddy bear is placed with them and their casket is draped with a beautiful flower arrangement.

We now look forward to providing this service to any county in Northern California that may have the need.
