Harold Clippers Medical Fund

Hello my name is Jessica Alvarez. With the help of the admin staff at the Building Inspections/ Code Enforcement department for the City of Killeen, I have created this Go Fund Me page for our good friend and fellow co worker, Harold "Tucky" Clipper. Harold has lived in Killeen for 53 years. Prior to working for the city he owned his own construction company for 19 years in which he created many lifelong friendships. Harold is avidly involved in his community. He is a board member for Habitat for Humanity and has been a Scout Leader for the Boy Scouts for 18 years. In October of 2011 Harold coordinated a fire damage rebuild for a citizen for "Make a Difference Day". The citizen was a widow named, Sandy Hawkins. Ms. Hawkins lived off of social security and was unable to receive any grants to help fund the remodel of her home. Ms. Hawkins hired two contractors to repair the fire damage who never finished the project. Ms. Hawkins was left with no other option but, to move into an unfinished home. Harold, along with other city employees and area contractors came together and completed the rebuild at no cost to Ms. Hawkins. Harold is a man with a big heart that is always willing to lend a helping hand or be a listening ear. The most important thing in his life will always be his family. His wife, Lydia, son, Zachary, and daughter, Kelly are the pride and joy of his life. On May the 14th Harold was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer. Currently, he is undergoing chemo and radiation therapy. As a work family we have come together to gather funds to help assist Harold and his family during this trying time. Harold will soon be exhausting his leave for work and will be accruing heavy duty medical bills all at the same time.
