Help Us Recover After a Life-Changing Motorcycle Accident

Anyone who knows Chris knows that he is a very private person and does not like to ask for help. But I am here, asking for help for our family.

This week, our lives were turned upside down when Chris was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident. You never think that you or one of your family members will be the one it will happen to until it does. He was T-boned by a 17-year-old kid in a truck that was not paying attention on May 20th while out riding his motorcycle. One mistake to him has changed our whole world and left lasting implications that we now have to try to figure out and put our little world back together.

He was thrown from his motorcycle and hit a light pole, where the bike also flew and hit the same light pole. Thankfully, he was not caught in between the two. We are forever thankful that he has no serious internal injuries or head injuries, and he was being responsible and wearing all of his protective gear. We were told that it is the only reason he is still here, and it could have been so much worse. He sustained serious injuries to his left arm, hand, and leg. He now faces extensive reconstructive surgery on his hand on May 30th and is confined to a wheelchair for the foreseeable future due to his foot injury. He’s unable to work and the surgeon said that with the best outcome he wont be able to start occupational therapy on his hand for at least 4 months. I’m only able to work part-time at the moment as I am trying to juggle my health with an autoimmune condition and also need to be available and present to take care of him.

The motorcycle he was riding wasn’t just any bike—it belonged to his uncle, who passed away two years ago. It held deep sentimental value and was a cherished connection to someone he loved and lost. Tragically, it was a total loss in the accident.

To make things even more difficult, his cell phone was damaged beyond repair in the crash, and we don’t have the funds to replace it. This has made staying connected with doctors and managing his care even more challenging with only my cell phone for a main contact point.

We’ve reached out to every possible source for financial assistance with bills, but we’ve been told repeatedly that there are no protections or hardship options available for our auto loans or other essential expenses. We are doing everything we can to mitigate this situation, but we’re quickly running out of options and funds that we have at present wont last long.

We live far from family and don’t have local support. Medical bills, equipment, and everyday costs are mounting fast.

We are humbly asking for help to get through this incredibly difficult time.

Any donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in our lives and help us cover urgent expenses as we focus on recovery and healing.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, prayers, and support.
