Truck Repair

Donation protected
I never imagined being in this position but here I am. My name is Laramey White. I am hoping to raise money to get my truck out of the shop. The expenses were just short of $3,500. Typically, this is an expense I am prepared for and, under other circumstances would not require help. Many of you know I recently switched jobs within the Federal government. When I switched careers I was gauranteed, in writing, to be earning a set salary from the agency I transferred to. This was something we, as a family, wanted for a very long time do to the hours and stressful nature of my previous career field. When the offer presented itself we took a leap of faith. We packed and rented our house, Venesa quit her job, uprooted the kids, and went for it with anxious optimisim. 1600 miles later we arrived and i began work. This was when I noticed an oil leak under my truck. It wasn't until after I had been working for 1 1/2 weeks that I was informed an administrative error was made regarding my contracted salary. The error simply meant that I would now be receiving significantly less income than originally promised. I have spoken with lawyers and sought any help I could find only to re-learn that Uncle Sam does what he wants, when he wants and how he wants without consequence. As for me I do what he says, when he says and how he says and pay the consequence for his errors. I cannot do anything to fight it. After much consideration and contemplation, Venesa and I realized we could no longer afford to live here, together as a family. We took my truck to the mechanic, loaded up the family in her car and we drove 19 hours straight thru to my mothers, who graciously has allowed them to live with her. At this time we're unsure for how long. Two short days and an expensive flight later I was back in Texas working. Typically, the government will place an employee in temporary quarters, to allow time for those employees to find living arrangements. I filled out the paperwork 28 days ago for that process and still have not been provided the means to obtain lodging per diem. It was supposed to take 7 days. Since then I have had to live in hotels on our own dime. Traveling expenses, hotels, food, more travel, airline tickets have essentially drained my savings. Not having a vehicle really complicates matters and if I spend what I have I will be homeless and still without a vehicle. I don't have any credit cards. I won't be home for Christmas this year. Ironically, its the first one in many years I had the time off. I understand how blessed I still am. Things could always be worse. My family is healthy and alive and no amount of money compares to that fact. I would like to pay anyone back who is able to help me now.
