Love for Lexi Bowen
Lexi is...
Lexi is adventurous, intelligent, and one of the funniest people you will ever meet. She is a top student at Tennessee Technical University where she is in her senior year and just months away from graduation. In addition to her academic prowess, Lexi is a bold member of the geo club and an avid gamer in her spare time. Anyone who has been fortunate enough to know her can attest to her ability to make everything more fun.
The Accident
Lexi packed up all of her belongings to prepare for an extended stay with her parents during spring break. She didn't want to fall behind on her studies if the health regulations implemented a lengthy quarantine period. So, she fit as much as she could in her little blue car and began the trek back to her parent's home. She was T-boned in an intersection and the impact was severe. Lexi sustained several injuries- two fractured transverse vertebrae, broken ribs, laceration of the liver, and internal bleeding. While her health is the number one priority, she lost a lot of personal property in the accident. Her car was totaled, her computers were destroyed, and she lost other personal artifacts as a result of the collision. In addition, she has incurred some medical debt from the ambulance ride, emergency hospital stay, and medical services provided to treat her injuries.
How You Can Help
Lexi has an amazing work ethic, and often uses breaks in school to earn extra money. Instead, she needs to take this time to focus on healing. The best thing we can do for her now is relieve her financial stress so that she can heal quickly. The $5,000 goal is a modest estimate of Lexi's medical expenses and property damage. It may not cover everything, but every little bit helps take some stress off this accomplished, inspiring human. So let's show Lexi some love and donate whatever you feel is appropriate during this time.
