Fundraising for Maeli's Medical

Maeli was born premature in September of 2010, 10 weeks early, 2 lbs 6oz.  She was diagnosed upon newborn screening with Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (lifelong cortisol and electrolyte dependency) She also due to prematurity has diagnosis of GERD, Auditory Neuropathy of left ear (wears hearing aid), and failure to thrive. She was never an "eater" and at 10 mos. began losing instead of gaining so a feeding tube was placed and she has been dependent on it ever since.  Now at nearly 5 she wants to be like her peers and eat on her own, she has grown to "hate" her tube.  We have attended outpatient occupational therapies for over 2 years, and they have had minimal progress, they recommended an inpatient program.  There are only about 12 to pick from in the US.  We have chosen the one we feel is the most thorough and decided if we will do this it has to be done right,  on August 9 we leave for Orange, CA.  Childrens Hospital of Orange County, a 19 day program that has over 90% success rate in getting tube fed children eating.  We are very optimistic about this place and need your help gaining funds to help us along the way.  We live paycheck to paycheck and I just earned PTO this year so only have under a weeks paid.  21 days unpaid is a big deal to me, I have worked hard since the age of 15 and always took care of my own.  Its not easy to ask for help but it is necessary.  Thank You for your time.
