My father's story-

The business my father owned (restaurant industry) for the past 19yrs was forced to close due to losses from covid and other extenuating circumstances! As a 60yr old single father with one son in college and unable to find employment, he relocated to the west coast of Florida to be closer to us and hopefully have a better chance at finding employment! After 8 months of not working , his luck took a terrible turn for the worst! He had an accident and had to be rushed to the ER, which required back surgery! If things couldn't get any worse, 6 weeks into back surgery recovery, my father fell and injured his knee and tore his meniscus! Surgery required! 2 months later a second back surgery requiring a spinal fusion! He so desperately wanted to recover so he can find employment, get back to work, and regain his sanity! Never in his whole life has he required or asked for any financial help.  I've always looked up to how independent and hard-working my father is! He applied for unemployment assistance 6 months ago without any response. The system is flawed!

Unable to work, he is faced with mounting bills and medical debt, and unable to cover his living expenses and rent!

You always hear stories, but never think it will happen to you. He is a humble man, and doesn't like to ask for help, but Cole and I are
